money.JPGBlogging can be both a fun and rewarding activity. When you’re blogging is driven by passion, you will notice that the rewards come naturally. As people begin to get a little taste of these rewards, they can’t help but to want more. Their blog shifts from being driven by passion to being driven by a lust for money. This is a recipe for disaster.

People Aren’t Stupid

Many bloggers fail to realize that it is quite apparent when they try to push the financial envelope. When visitors begin to see that you are constanly substituting informative posts for ones that are financially rewarding, they will likely stop visiting your site. If you’re lucky, they might return in a week or two to check if post quality has improved. Otherwise, tough bananas for you.

Knowing Your Limits

You need to establish some boundaries when it comes to monetizing your blog on a post level. The only way to do this is via experimentation. Start off by deciding on a fixed number of posts you plan to allocate for financially rewarding activities. I wouldn’t allocate more than 10% of my total monthly posts for my money making ventures. Now that you have that number, test it out for a month. Compare your site’s stats to the previous month’s, noting any significant changes in traffic. If there are none, continue your posting activities within the same limits.

Appeasing Your Lusts For More Money

If you’re really serious about increasing your blog’s income through posts, you need to be willing to work. If you can write several informative posts on a daily basis, that can easily translate to more financially fulfilling posts during the month. It’s not the most lucrative solution, but it sure can pay off in the end.
