Multiple Blogs for “More” Income
September 15th, 2007 Posted in UncategorizedHere’ s a general idea that many seem to share: If I make $2,000/month on ONE blog, I can go ahead and setup some more to increase my earnings. While this idea does have a certain amount of merit to it, it does have its limits. You can only go so far to maximize your income.
The fundamental problem with running multiple blogs is the fact that the quality of each will be of a much lower-caliber than if you were to run just a single one. Having several blogs puts you in the position of having to distribute your time and effort to each and every one of them. While you may enjoy doing this for a couple of days, in the long run its not feasible. You don’t have an unlimited amount of time to write for the blogs, and will therefore have to sacrifice quality on each of them. Quality is what attracts visitors, and with few or no visitors, you won’t make any money.
This is what I recommend for those planning to pursue this type of feat. If you are really passionate about each of your blogs and feel you have enough time to maintain them at a professional level, go ahead and run them but don’t exceed having 3 blogs. Once you pass that point, you will find you have way too much of a workload for one person to handle.
