Article-Marketing: Misusing the Author Resource Box

Article marketing is a great way to promote your affiliate products. Unfortunately, a majority of people go about article marketing all wrong. It is not that they are unable to write somewhat compelling content, but they completely misuse the article resource box. This box holds the key to any article marketer’s success.

Here are some things you should do in your resource box to increase your chances of landing a sale:

Offer an Incentive

You want to give the individual reading your article some sort of incentive to click on your link. This can be done in one of many ways, but a popular method is to offer the reader some free articles or an ebook on the subject matter. To pull this off you will need an opt-in page so you can e-mail the reader his or her ebook/article along with the affiliate offer.

Don’t mention the affiliate product in the Resource box

You should avoid mentioning the affiliate product you are marketing in the resource box. Instead, direct the reader to the affiliate page by letting them know it offers more information.  You can do this in the following manner:

Include more than one affiliate link

When you add your affiliate link to the resource box, make sure you add it more than once.  This will increase your chances of getting a reader to click-through. Make sure you space the links a good distance away from each other. This way if the reader didn’t catch the first link, they’ll be sure to catch the second or third one.
