Let me start off by apologizing for my 11 day departure. I’ve been busy implementing a massive update on one of my sites. Now that i’m finished, I’m afraid you’ll have to deal with me blogging once again. So happy late Thanksgiving to everyone! With my apologies out of the way, it’s time we get to the good stuff

What Is Yahoo Answers?

Yahoo Answers is a site that people visit to get their questions answered. You could call it a mega-forum with millions of members and topics. What’s great about Yahoo Answers is that normal people answer the questions, not a select few that chosen by Yahoo. Thus, Yahoo Answers is able to take in a large volume of questions and have content developed by its visitors - a sweet deal if you ask me.

Why Yahoo Answers Is Ideal For Making Money

Yahoo Answers creates a very ideal environment for just about anyone to profit. One of the things that make Yahoo Answers a very attractive outlet for making money online is its targeting capabilities. You can search Yahoo Answers for something very specific and it will likely come up with hundred of questions from people who WANT info on that particular topic. That’s VERY powerful stuff.

Another big perk to Yahoo Answers is their very tolerant user base. If you’ve attempted to post links to your website or affiliate offers on other sites, you’re probably familiar with the flag and delete drill. This is not an issue on Yahoo Answers. If you combine at least a snippet of advice with your link, it is almost guaranteed you won’t get flagged.

Aside from its nice user base and targeting capabilities, Yahoo Answers is ideal for turning profit as Google absolutely adores it. Have you ever searched Google and wondered why a Yahoo Answers pages ranked highly for certain keyword? It’s because Google considers the site to be an authority site, and therefore ranks its pages accordingly. If taken advantage of correctly, the love Google has for Yahoo Answers can be bring thousands of dollars worth of profit.

What You Shouldn’t Do

This is the part where people begin to think that making money with Yahoo Answers is cake. Let me be the first to tell you it’s not. Answering questions with a link and nothing more will get you nowhere. You need to build some form of credibility in the person asking the question. Try to write at least a paragraph that addresses the question, and let the asker know they can find more info by looking at the source link.

If you’re after funneling organic traffic through Yahoo Answers, I suggest that you don’t exaggerate. Create two accounts (one for asking questions, the other for answering them) and ask only a few questions a day. Make sure you use the appropriate keyword(s) in the question’s title. Once you submit the question, login to your other account and answer it as described earlier (in a paragraph with a link included in the source box).

A word of caution before I wrap up this post: Don’t try to squeeze every last penny out of Yahoo Answers. When you start to get a 999 error from Yahoo, cool it. Wait till the next day to continue your pursuit of money. If you persist for long enough, chances are that you will have your IP blocked from Yahoo Answers.
