With the close of this month approaching, it dawned on me that many online entrepreneurs have completely no clue what
to do at the ending of each month. While some may suggest that continuing on your previous course is the best idea, it is at times anything but that. You need to weigh your options and decide what to do. Remember, your money is at stake.
Looking Back
The first thing you need to do on the last day of the month is look back upon the entire month. Ask yourself what your biggest money-makers were and why. Did any particular methods implemented within the month help catapult those money-makers to those top positions? If so, what were they?
Ridding Yourself of Extra Baggage
Once you’re done looking back over the month, you will undoubtedly find that you’ve been lugging baggage which isn’t doing much for you. Pretend one of your income sources is a blog which you author. You notice that you’re doing really well with affiliate sales, banner sales, etc. but you’re Adsense ads are only earning you $100/month. This should be a sign to you that you might need to ditch those Adsense units. They’re wasting valuable real-estate which could be used for other monetization activities.
Repeating What’s Working
When you decide to get rid of all the stuff that’s weighing you down, you need to focus your effort at maximizing your income from your biggest profit makers. If you notice that your affiliate PPC campaigns are doing very well, try to improve them by adding more targetted keywords. This should more than offset the small dent in income you experienced from removing that un-necessary luggage.
More and More Experimentation
With the opening of a new month, you need to plan for experimentation. Without experimenting, you are risking losing in on a bunch of untouched money. If you’ve always wanted to give article-marketing a try, go ahead and try it. Who knows, you might be very successful in it. By experimenting, you have the potential of opening up new income streams. This, of course, is a big plus.
